Kristen a.k.a “Krissy” is an associate lawyer at Sullivan Festeryga LLP. She joined the firm after completing her articles in 2020. She works primarily in insurance litigation, small claims matters, immigration, and criminal law. As a goal-oriented lawyer with superb interpersonal skills, she thrives on building professional relationships and is motivated by her clients’ satisfaction. She is a firm believer that a positive attitude and great communication skills are imperative to achieving results for her clients.

Krissy is a passionate advocate for both human and animal rights. During her time at law school she appeared before the Immigration Court and Immigrations and Customs Enforcement as an advocate for immigrants and refugees in Detroit, Michigan. Did we mention she won no less than eight claims in her last semester of law school? She served as president of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund in Detroit, Michigan and as president of the First Generation Network in Windsor, Ontario.

As a native of Newfoundland Krissy may have an accent, but it hasn’t stopped her from extending her studies and appreciation of other languages. Having lived in France and Ireland her grasp of French and Gaelic is impressive to say the least. And if that wasn’t enough, Krissy has studied Spanish, Latin, AND Italian. In her spare time, you can find her exploring the city of Hamilton, playing with her Chihuahua named Eva, taking in a yoga class, or simply extending her knowledge of craft beer with friends.
